Charging infrastructure adds another layer of expense: home Level 1 and 2 chargers cost $200–$1,500 to install, while faster Level 3 stations can run up to $50,000, and monthly electricity bills average $60. Hyundai has expanded its Ioniq sub-brand with the 2025 Ioniq 5 N, a high-performance variant of the popular all-electric crossover. While the standard Ioniq 5 delivers up to 320 hp, 318 miles of EPA-estimated range and charges from 10% to 80% in about 20 minutes via its NACS port, the Ioniq 5 N cranks output to 641 hp and rockets from 0-60 mph in 3.0 seconds.
