Utah DWR Proposes E-Tagging Option for Harvested Wildlife

Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (DWR) is seeking public feedback on a suite of license and permit rule changes, chief among them a new e-tagging option for harvested big game this fall. The public comment period runs through mid-August, with regional advisory council meetings scheduled statewide.

Wisconsin Spring Turkey Registrations Rise 14%, Hunters Secure 228,844 Authorizations

Wisconsin turkey hunters registered a total of 50,287 birds during the 2025 spring season, marking a 14% increase over the state’s five-year average. The season opened with a two-day youth hunt (April 12–13), in which under-16 hunters logged 3,981 birds—up from 3,967 last year.

From April 16 to May 27, the regular season ran in six one-week segments designed to balance opportunity and environmental stewardship. Hunters applied for or purchased 228,844 of the 246,068 available authorizations, filling 93% of tags statewide and underlining strong participation.
