Cooperstown, NY – Five former stars will be enshrined at Sunday’s Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremony, highlighted by first-ballot selections Ichiro Suzuki and CC Sabathia. Ichiro edged out a unanimous vote to become the first Japanese player elected, finishing with 3,089 major-league hits after earning Rookie of the Year and MVP honors in 2001.
